How to clean a shower head without much effort and chemicals: three useful life hacks
SSPDaily has prepared life hacks on how to wash a shower head. Find out practical and effective tips for cleaning it without the use of aggressive chemicals and strenuous efforts.
Soak in vinegar
Remove the nozzle and place it in a plastic bag with enough vinegar to completely submerge it. Leave it for a few hours or overnight to loosen mineral deposits. After soaking, the shower head should be brushed to remove any residue and then reattached to the shower arm.
Baking soda and water
Another effective way to avoid a lot of labor and chemicals when cleaning your shower head is to use a paste of baking soda and water. Prepare the desired mixture and apply it to the nozzle.
Leave it on for about 30 minutes to break down mineral deposits and limescale. Afterward, rinse the watering can thoroughly with water to remove any residue.
Lemon juice solution
Mix equal parts lemon juice and water and pour the solution into a plastic bag. Then put the bag over the shower head so that the holes are submerged in the solution and secure it with a rubber band. The bag should sit for several hours to dissolve all mineral deposits and dirt, after which it should be removed and the shower head wiped with a soft cloth to remove any remaining debris.
