How to start a car with a discharged battery: three life hacks
If the battery is dead, there are several ways to charge it or try to start the car. SSPDaily has provided information on three life hacks on how to do it.
Use another car
Park the working vehicle next to the car with a dead battery, and connect the jumper cables (red to red, black to ground) to the appropriate terminals. After starting the working vehicle, let it idle for a few minutes to charge the discharged battery. Then, after removing the other vehicle, you can try to start the vehicle with a discharged battery.
Using a battery starter
When your car battery is running low, a portable battery charger can be a lifesaver. Simply connect the charger to the dead battery, following the manufacturer's instructions, and then start the car as usual.
Push starting
Using the push-start method for cars with manual transmissions involves one or two people pushing the car after putting it in second gear. When the engine starts, you can drive away immediately or put the car in neutral, park it, and wait for the battery to charge.
