Introducing Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE tablet: affordable simplicity for demanding users
The latest addition to Xiaomi's lineup, the Redmi Pad SE tablet, has made its market debut. The device is aimed at budget users looking for an easy-to-use tablet PC. Redmi Pad SE offers a simplified version of the previously introduced Redmi Pad model.
Built with a slim metal body, the Redmi Pad SE is just 7.36 millimeters thick and weighs 478 grams, making it comfortable to hold and carry. The tablet is available in three attractive colors: soft gray, bright purple, and refreshing mint green.
The tablet is powered by a 11-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The dynamic refresh rate of 30 to 90 Hz ensures a smooth image, and the peak screen brightness reaches 400 nits. The display's support for 8-bit color depth increases visual saturation.
Performance is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip, manufactured using a modern 6-nanometer process technology. The chipset consists of eight cores, the most powerful of which operates at 2.4 GHz. Customers can choose from a variety of configurations, including 4, 6, or 8GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) combined with 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. For those who need additional space, microSD memory cards of up to a terabyte can be installed.
The camera settings meet the basic needs of photography. The 5-megapixel front-facing camera supports Full HD video recording at 30 frames per second. Meanwhile, the 8-megapixel rear lens with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus function allows you to capture moments in high definition. Although there is no flash due to budgetary constraints, the camera system remains functional.
The tablet is powered by an 8000 mAh battery with a modest 10W charging power, which is charged via a USB-C connector. Speaking of audio, Redmi Pad SE is equipped with four Dolby Atmos-certified speakers that provide high quality sound output. The tablet runs on Android 13, which is overlaid with an intuitive MIUI 14 user interface.
In terms of availability, Redmi Pad SE entered the European market in August. Interested buyers can choose from three configurations:
- 4/128 GB at a price of 199 euros;
- 6/128 GB at a price of 229 euros;
- 8/128 GB at a price of 249 euros.
It is worth noting that although official accessories such as a stylus, keyboard or case are not included in the package, compatible third-party options to expand the functionality of the tablet are readily available.
