Slipped right out of its jaws: video shows crocodile chasing antelope in water
A fascinating chase between a predator and a prey in the wild was caught on video. The camera captured a reckless antelope running into the water, where it was chased by a crocodile.
The animal apparently wanted to cross the lake as quickly as possible without running around it, and did not expect to run into mortal danger. Fortunately for the antelope, it was faster. The video was posted on Twitter.
The video shows that the antelope ran into the water, where it jumped several times until it reached the bottom. When there was only water under its paws, the animal began to swim.
At that moment, it was chased by a crocodile, which noticed the potential victim too late. The predator, adapted to hunting in water, caught up with the antelope and was ready to grab it.
But the victim felt the bottom with its paws and began to jump again, eventually jumping to the shore. She continued on her way, but the crocodile remained hungry.
