Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Finalize Divorce: Details Remain Confidential
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are officially divorced, TMZ reported. According to new reports, the couple reached a confidential settlement on Tuesday, including the intricacies of their property and child custody arrangements for daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 2.
This marks the end of a turbulent period, which saw their divorce proceedings become public and contentious. Initially, Turner accused Jonas of withholding their children’s passports to prevent them from relocating to the UK – a plan they had agreed upon before their separation. Jonas's representatives denied these claims, and Turner eventually withdrew her lawsuit after they reached a mutual agreement on co-parenting.
Joe Jonas, 35, and Sophie Turner, 28, who eloped in Las Vegas in May 2019 and later celebrated a larger wedding in France, have both moved on romantically. Sophie is now seeing British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, while Joe had a brief relationship with model Stormi Bree and has been linked to actress Laila Abdallah. The couple first started dating in 2016 and got engaged the following year before officially tying the knot in 2019.
Amidst this personal upheaval, Jonas channeled his emotions into his music, revealing on the "Therapuss" podcast that he felt compelled to work on new material during his split. He confirmed in an interview with Billboard that his upcoming album, "Music for People Who Believe in Love," set to release on October 18, is not intended to aim at anyone.
Jonas also performed U2’s "I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For" shortly after the settlement was finalized during a Jonas Brothers concert in Dublin, showcasing the complexities of his emotions post-divorce. Now legally single, Jonas continues to focus on his music career and upcoming projects.
