Massachusetts Woman Discovers Mysterious Pinecone Art in Waltham Woods
A Massachusetts woman, Margaret Zeitouny, was walking her dog along the trails of Cedarwood Park in Waltham when she encountered a strange pinecone formation, CBS News reported. The pinecones were arranged in a circle mirroring a mandala, sparking curiosity and debate.
Zeitouny described the formation as a circle with a repetitive design, indicating a meditative process. She informed WBZ-TV, "I don't know if the artist is monitoring it, but I certainly am. I want to capture daily pictures until it vanishes." Following her discovery, she shared a photo on a local Facebook group, inciting various theories, including alien involvement and satanic rituals.
Despite imaginative speculations, Zeitouny is inclined to believe that the formation is a student art project from nearby Brandeis University. She humorously refuted other theories, saying, "I don't buy into the alien theory or the idea of a satanic ritual. It doesn't even have a place to stand in." Zeitouny appreciates the effort someone invested in creating and positioning the art at the trail's edge and intends to check on it daily to see if the mysterious artist will claim their work eventually.
