Going on holiday often means discovering new places. However, many enjoy bringing home comforts for their stay. Packing favorites, like tea bags, is common for a comforting taste of home. Yet, one woman shocked everyone when she revealed what her mother had packed for their trip to Majorca. This unusual item was secretly snuck into her suitcase.
In a TikTok video, Lily Draycott shared her exciting time in Alcudia with her mum. Their trip took a surprising turn during their walk to the hotel. While approaching the bus stop, Lily's mum casually mentioned that a "block of butter" might have been added to her suitcase. It was probably starting to melt under the sun.
Lily recounted: "On the first day, it was just me and mum in Majorca. It was about 26 degrees. We picked up the suitcases and walked under the bright sunshine when she said, ‘I hope that butter hasn’t melted.’ What butter?! I couldn’t understand! She explained she packed it because she wanted her favorite Country Life butter."
Confused, Lily asked her mom for clarification but was told to "move your suitcase out of the sun." This curious incident didn't end with the butter, as Lily's mum also brought other travel necessities, including snacks and even her own mugs.
Lily added, "She packed her own mugs, teabags, milk, and sugar. Plus, an array of snacks! It’s brilliant."
In a lighthearted twist, Lily's mum commented on her TikTok as well. She assured viewers that the butter arrived safe and unsullied. She humorously mentioned, "The butter survived! You will appreciate it when I butter your crumpet in the morning. I also packed super noodles."
Viewers of the video found Lily's story humorous and relatable. Many admitted to bringing similar items on holidays. One person commented, "I am definitely taking a mug on my next holiday; that’s a boss move," while another shared, "I will be taking Yorkshire teabags to Mexico next week."
