US Man Constructs 54-Story Card House in 8 Hours, Sets World Record
Bryan Berg, an American architect, and exceptional card stacker, has achieved another astounding record by crafting a 54-level house of cards in merely 8 hours, World Guinness Records reported. This impressive feat required Bryan to use a ladder to reach and place the card levels, with a HONOR Magic V3 foldable phone carefully placed on top, marking the completion.
Renowned as a professional in his field since 1992, Bryan constructed the towering structure entirely from regular playing cards, without employing glue, wiring, or metal. His achievement took place under the scrutiny of Guinness World Records Adjudicator Thomas Bradford.
For this attempt, precise conditions were necessary. Bryan required the room to be nearly airtight and highly humid, employing seven humidifiers to ensure optimal card conditions. As a consequence, the atmosphere became quite uncomfortable for the supporting crew filming the event.
Throughout almost the whole duration of 8 hours, Bryan worked persistently, taking brief pauses only to hydrate and snack. Maintaining a consistent pace, he managed to stack five to six levels every hour.
Notably, Bryan has held the overall record for the tallest playing card structure – measuring 25 feet and 9 inches – since 2007, a title he's reclaimed and extended multiple times over the years since first breaking it in 1992.
