Maguchikh wins silver in high jump at the World Indoor Athletics Championships
Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Maguchikh has won a silver medal at the 2024 IAAF World Indoor Championships, which have begun in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 22-year-old Ukrainian finished the competition with a result of 1.97 meters. Yaroslava tried to conquer the height of 1.99 meters, but failed in three attempts.
The world champion was Australian Nicola Olislagers, who jumped 1.99 meters in her last third attempt. "Lea Apostolovski from Slovenia won the bronze medal (1.95 meters).
Another Ukrainian, Yulia Levchenko, took 9th place in the final with a result of 1.84 meters.

For Yaroslava, this is the second medal in her career at the World Indoor Championships - in 2022 she won gold at the World Championships in Belgrade.
"Silver" Maguchikh's silver medal is Ukraine's first at the 2024 World Indoor Championships.
