Ukraine's national team wins European Women's Wrestling Championships for the second time in a row
The Ukrainian national team won the team event of the 2024 European Championships in women's freestyle wrestling. SSPDaily tells about it.
At the continental championship in Bucharest, Romania, our wrestlers won six medals: one gold, three silver and two bronze ones.

Gold: Iryna Koliadenko (up to 65 kg)
Silver: Alina Filipovych (up to 59 kg), Tetiana Sova-Rizhko (up to 68 kg), Anastasiia Shustova (up to 76 kg)
Bronze: Solomiia Vynnyk (up to 57 kg), Yuliia Tkach-Ostapchuk (up to 62 kg)
The Blue and Yellows were second in terms of the number of gold medals to the Turkish team, which won three top honors, but were the best in terms of points scored - 147. The Ukrainians' advantage over the second place was 5 points.

For Ukraine, this is the second consecutive victory in the team event at the European Women's Wrestling Championships and the eighth in its history.
At the previous continental championship, Ukrainian women also won six medals: two gold, three silver and one bronze.
It should be added that at Euro 2024, Ukrainians can also boast of achievements in Greco-Roman wrestling, where Oleksandr Hrushyn (up to 63 kg) won silver, and Zhan Beleniuk (up to 87 kg), Parviz Nasibov (up to 72 kg) and Yaroslav Filchakov (up to 82 kg) won bronze.
Thus, in total, the Ukrainian national wrestling team has ten awards at Euro 2024 and ranks fourth in the team medal standings.
