Although aloe is widely known for its soothing gel, its mystical properties often go unnoticed. Our ancestors believed that this plant possessed protective and even magical powers capable of safeguarding the home from negative energies. If discord and illness prevail in the house, aloe is thought to help eliminate them.

The placement of indoor plants is considered an art with symbolic meaning. It is particularly favorable to position aloe in the eastern part of the house or near the front door, as such a location is believed to bring peace and understanding to the home. The well-known properties of aloe are believed to contribute to harmonious relationships among residents.

In various beliefs, aloe was used to attract love. A simple ritual involved picking 13 aloe leaves, drying them for 12 days, and burning them on the thirteenth day. The ashes were then carefully scattered over the threshold of the house. People believed that this ritual would pave the way for a lonely heart to find its soul mate.

According to folk beliefs, if an aloe begins to wither and its leaves turn yellow, it was believed that the plant could absorb negative energy directed at the household. To counteract this, ancestors hung a dry leaf of the flower over the main entrance, believing that this ritual formed a shield against evil intentions, acting as a guardian for the residents.
