A woman who lived without heating for 6 years shared her secrets of keeping her home warm on Tik Tok
Everyone is looking for their own way to save on heating bills. People's imaginations are endless in this regard, and from time to time you can find very original solutions to this problem.
For example, SSPDaily told us about a woman who lived without heating for 6 years and shared her tips for keeping warm in the winter months. Recently, TikTok user @hatch.green.chile.addict, known as KT, posted a video about saving money. In it, she presented herself as a person "who has been living in a house without air conditioning and heating for six years."
Dressed in a gray T-shirt and sitting in front of a bathroom mirror, she explained that the first thing to know about keeping warm is that "layering is your best friend."
"If you feel uncomfortable, put on something else," she said. "Still too cold? Put on something else!"
She then warned viewers against turning on the heating, as this would cause bills to "skyrocket", which she said was unacceptable in the face of the cost of living crisis.
The second piece of advice KT gave viewers was to use heating pads and electric blankets.
"Why? They keep you warm even if they are turned off for an hour," she explained.
The woman also recommended wearing a triple layer of socks and pants, adding that leggings can be worn under jeans.
"You can also wear thermal underwear!" she added.
In her second video, @hatch.green.chile.addict told viewers how to keep warm in winter without using electricity.
Holding up a sheet with a pile of clothes under it, she said: "No dryer? No problem! Put this under the blanket and you will be warm in the morning."
Then she boiled water in a pot and put a stone on it. And when it was hot, KT took it out, wrapped it in a large towel, covered it, and put it at the foot of her bed.
"Now your feet will be warm," she said.
