Sooner or later, acne "poisons" the life of almost everyone. According to statistics, about 85% of people on the planet have skin problems. They cause a lot of trouble in everyday life.
We'll tell you how to get rid of the problem and prevent it from occurring in the future. This was reported by SSPDaily.
Causes of acne
A number of factors can cause acne on the face. The most common of these are hormonal imbalances, unhealthy diet, stress, and improper skin care.
Hormonal changes
They occur during adolescence, menstruation, pregnancy, and other stages of life. During this period, the production of the hormone testosterone increases, which in turn can lead to an increase in the secretion of sebum, a natural fat produced by the skin. As a result, acne appears on the face.
Improper skin care
Another cause of facial rashes is improper selection of cosmetics or insufficient skin cleansing, which can contribute to the accumulation of dirt and pollutants in the pores. This can also create an environment for bacteria to grow, leading to acne formation.
Inflamed areas of the skin
A skin disease caused by the opportunistic mite of the acne gland (demodex) manifests itself as inflamed skin patches and acne. The reasons for its reproduction can vary: from digestive system dysfunction to poor immunity and the use of low-quality cosmetics.
Demodicosis is contagious and is transmitted from a person infected with mites to a healthy person.
Bad habits and stress
In particular, consuming excessive amounts of sugar can affect the condition of the skin. Stress also contributes to an increase in hormone production, which can cause acne.
Facial hygiene
Lack of regular skin cleansing can lead to the formation of acne. Dirty hands that touch the face can also transfer bacteria and contaminants to the skin, contributing to acne.
External factors
Poor environmental conditions, polluted air, use of harsh cosmetics, or contact with contaminated objects can contribute to facial acne.
Types of acne on the face
Comedones. The most popular type of acne that occurs as a result of contamination and clogging of the skin pores. They are divided into:
- open (blackheads),
- when the pore is open and in contact with the air,
- closed (whiteheads), when the pore is closed and has a white color.
Papules. They appear on the skin as a result of pore inflammation. They are usually red in color and can be painful to the touch.
Pustules. They are easily confused with papules, but they have a more pronounced inflamed center filled with purulent fluid.
Subcutaneous acne. These are large, deep formations that develop under the skin. Unlike the others, they can be painful and leave noticeable marks, especially if they are squeezed or tried to squeeze out.
Tickacne. They look like papules (pimples) covered with gray scales. Sometimes, instead of them, bubbles with clear or purulent contents surrounded by a red inflammatory rim or inflamed skin areas are found on the skin.
Prevention of acne
1. Do not forget to wash your face
Don't skimp on water and wash your face in the morning and evening. Also, do not go to bed with makeup on your face.
2. Mild cleanser
A mild cleanser without a bunch of ingredients and fragrances can work just as well as more expensive options.
3. Get rid of dead skin
You can get rid of dead cells with a scrub. After all, if such cells remain for too long, they can clog pores and lead to acne.
4. Get enough sleep
According to research, lack of sleep can cause the body to release inflammatory components. And they can lead to acne.
5. Do not squeeze pimples
By doing so, you bring more bacteria into your pores, including those on your hands. It also increases the risk of infection or scarring.
Natural face masks
Using natural face masks can effectively improve skin condition and reduce the occurrence of acne.
