How to clean headphones and get rid of sulfur: 3 effective tips
SSPDaily tells you how to clean headphones from sulfur using effective methods. Regardless of whether you use wired, vacuum, or AirPods, these tips will be useful to you.
Remove wax with a toothbrush
Dampen your toothbrush with a little water and gently brush your earbuds. Pay special attention to the mesh panels and crevices where wax tends to accumulate. The bristles of your toothbrush will dislodge the dirt, and the water will help soften and loosen it. Wipe off any residue with a dry cloth or cotton swab.
Clean the silicone tabs
First, remove the silicone tips. Prepare a bowl of warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap. Dip the silicone tips in the soapy water and rub them between your fingers to remove any sulfur and debris. Rinse the earbuds thoroughly under running water and then wipe them dry before reinserting them into the earbuds.
Try the power of a vacuum
If the wax is not removable, a vacuum cleaner can help. Choose a narrow nozzle that fits into crevices. Use low suction and carefully maneuver the nozzle around the mesh baffles, taking care not to apply excessive force or pull in small parts. It is advisable to cover the nozzle with a small piece of mesh or a thin cloth to protect the headphones from accidental damage.
