How to easily clean a heating radiator: 4 useful tips
SSPDaily has prepared tips on how to easily clean a radiator. Find out how to keep the back of the battery in impeccable condition and prevent the accumulation of dirt and allergens.
Vacuum cleaner
First, attach a nozzle to your vacuum cleaner that can fit into tight spaces. Then run it behind the radiator and thoroughly remove dust and debris. Be sure to reach the back and sides of the appliance. This method is quick and effective, and it helps prevent dirt and allergens from building up behind the radiator.
A long-handled brush or dust pan
These tools are designed to reach into tight spaces, so they easily remove dust and cobwebs behind the radiator. Simply pull the brush or dust cup all the way out and gently sweep away the dirt.
Repeat this process for the back and sides of the radiator. It's a quick and convenient way to keep those often overlooked areas clean.
Microfiber cloths
First, moisten the cloth with water or cleaning solution. Then fold it into a narrow shape to fit behind the radiator. Insert the cloth into the gap and gently wipe away dust and dirt. The microfiber cloth effectively captures fine particles and leaves no residue.
Compressed air canister
Hold the can vertically and insert the narrow nozzle into the slot behind the radiator. Squeeze the trigger to release a jet of compressed air and aim it at the dust. This will help disperse the stuck dirt and blow it out. When using compressed air cans, be sure to wear safety glasses and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
