How to quickly and easily clean a greasy do wn jacket without washing
- Ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. A mixture of these ingredients quickly dissolves stains, so your down jacket will be clean and fresh in a few minutes. Take one tablespoon each of peroxide and ammonia, stir, moisten a sponge, apply to the stains and let it work for 5 minutes. Then rinse off the solution thoroughly with water.
- Starch and salt. To prepare this cleaner, mix salt and starch in equal parts, add water to form a paste. Apply the paste to the stained areas for 10 minutes and wipe off with a damp sponge.
- Ammonia and dishwashing detergent. Take 50 grams of detergent and add 1 tablespoon of ammonia. Using a sponge, apply the product to the stains, rub lightly and leave the solution to work for half an hour. Then wipe the treated area with a damp sponge or napkin. This product is suitable for fresh stains and light-colored jackets.
- Laundry soap. Rub the moistened stained areas with laundry soap and leave for 40 minutes. Then wipe off the soap residue with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Hydrogen peroxide. This method is good for cleaning soiled areas. Dissolve three tablespoons of peroxide in a glass of warm water, apply the solution to the dirty areas with a cotton pad and wipe the stains with a toothbrush. Leave the solution to work for 20 minutes, then wipe with a damp cloth.
