Lemon juice and baking soda
In order to cope with old stains on kitchen towels, it is advisable to soak them in a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda for an hour. Then rinse them in clean water and wash them as usual.
Vinegar and hydrogen peroxide for soaking
Another effective way to remove dirt is to soak them in a mixture of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. After 30 minutes of soaking, the towels can be washed as usual. This combination breaks down stubborn stains and eliminates any lingering odors. This method is especially useful for removing food and grease marks.
Boiling water and salt solution
Boil water in a saucepan and add plenty of salt to form a solution. Place the dirty towels in it and leave them there for at least 30 minutes.
