"Loosens" the soil in a flash: no more shoveling and digging beds
When it comes to gardening, gardeners are always trying to find effective and simple methods to increase yields and healthy crop growth. This is why manure is applied to the soil in the beds. It helps to "loosen" the soil. This was reported by SSPDaily.
However, professionals say that there is a better way to fertilize the land. We are talking about bone meal, or, as it is often called, phospho-azotine.
Bone meal is a material obtained after processing the bones of animals, usually cattle and pigs. When the bones are ground, they acquire the consistency of a white powder with a slight yellowish tint.
Why is bone meal effective for "loosening" the soil and fertilizing plants? First of all, it is rich in phosphorus (the content can reach from 15 to 35%). This substance is one of the key elements for healthy plant growth, flowering and proper rhizome development. Bone meal, due to its high phosphorus content, is an excellent fertilizer option for both vegetable crops and garden berries.
What's more, this fertilizer decomposes slowly, so plants receive nutrients over a long period of time. As a result, they grow steadily and evenly, and are not stressed by a lack of minerals.
Of course, bone meal also improves soil structure. That is, the soil becomes loose, its air and water permeability increases. And this, in turn, allows the root system of plants to access the necessary amount of water and oxygen.
And, of no small importance, it is much easier to apply to the soil.
