Not afraid of late blight and cold weather: experts name sweet and resistant tomato varieties

We always want a tomato variety to be ideal for growing in any conditions. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. That's why experts shared which tomato varieties are the sweetest and can easily survive difficult weather. This was reported by SSPDaily.

When it comes to sweet tomato varieties for open ground in Ukraine, which are additionally resistant to major diseases, including late blight, experts advise paying attention to the following:

• "Sugar Grape - raspberry-colored tomatoes with a very sweet taste, the variety is known for its resistance to diseases, and can be relatively resistant to cold weather;
• "Golden Sweet - bright yellow tomatoes with a sweet taste, considered to be quite resistant to cold and is relatively resistant to late blight;

• "Cherry Gold - if you are looking for the most delicious varieties of cherry tomatoes in Ukraine, then you should choose this one, because it has a sweet taste and is resistant to late blight, but these tomatoes are relatively resistant to low temperatures;
• "Sweet Million is another cherry variety that has a sweet taste, although it is vulnerable to late blight, but some of its hybrids can tolerate cold without any problems;
• "Supersweet 100 - sweet cherry tomatoes that have good resistance to various diseases, including late blight, and are relatively resistant to cold weather.

It should be noted that resistance to cold and disease largely depends on the conditions of tomato cultivation, including agricultural practices, climatic conditions, fertilization, etc. Therefore, before choosing a variety, experts advise to familiarize yourself with the characteristics of different varieties of tomatoes, as well as tips for growing them.
