Peas are inconvenient to eat with a fork from a plate: an etiquette expert explained how to do it correctly
On social media, you can find answers to any questions related to everyday life, even such an unusual one as how to eat peas with a fork.
The Daily Mail reported that this secret was shared by a famous Instagram personality and etiquette expert, William Hanson. Introducing him, the publication said that he knows literally everything and has "saved" millions of people from unpleasant situations, whether it's advice on how to eat spaghetti or how to tip foreign hotel staff.
This time, Mr. Hanson told us what we do wrong when we eat peas with a fork. In his opinion, peas are one of the most difficult vegetables to eat because they easily slip off cutlery.
Therefore, the expert explained that they should be strung on a fork rather than trying to scoop them up, and he demonstrated this action in a video tutorial.
"You are probably eating peas the wrong way," he said.
"I never prick the peas on the bottom of my fork and bring them to my mouth because they fly everywhere."
"Instead," said Hanson, "you need to use the back of a knife to prick the peas on the tines of the fork, and you'll get a small, neat portion that you can easily eat!"
Viewers did not ignore the video and commented on it.
One of them said, "Not even kidding, this is really the most useful information I've ever gotten from Instagram."
"Take mashed potatoes and dip the peas in it without losing a single pea," another advised.
However, there were also those who claimed that they would never find themselves in such a situation.
"Why would I order a bowl of peas?" asked one man.
"I'll just use a spoon so I can avoid scratching the plate with my knife and fork," added a woman.
