Phone overheats on the beach: what to do
Overheating your phone should be avoided: it can affect your device's performance, degrade battery life, and even cause permanent damage to your phone.
With the summer months upon us, when we spend more time outside, the risk of your phone getting dangerously hot increases. Especially at the beach, writes Gizmodo.
SSPDaily prepared a few specific scenarios to look out for when it comes to your phone overheating.
How to tell if your phone is overheating
First, you need to know the safe operating temperature for your phone. For iPhones, it's between 32ºF and 95ºF (that's 0ºC and 35ºC). Whether you're at the beach or in the car, your smartphone can get hotter than this.
It can get even hotter if you watch videos or listen to music, or play games. Over time, the problems get worse.
Turn-by-turn navigation with GPS can also make your phone too hot. Therefore, keep an eye on your smartphone not only on the beach, but also on the streets of a hot city.
