Healthy Chicken Shawarma Recipe
- Time: 10 minutes
- Servings: 2
Ingredients:
2 sheets of pita bread
1 boiled chicken fillet
1/2 medium tomato
1/8 head of fresh cabbage, or any other salad
Some Korean carrots
4 slices of cheese
For the sauce:
2.5 tablespoons of low-fat sour cream
0.5 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of chopped dill
1 clove of garlic
A pinch of salt
Preparation:
- To prevent the pita bread from cracking, use only fresh products. Also, boil the chicken in advance, or use leftovers from lunch or dinner.
- To make the sauce, mix sour cream, paprika, and chopped dill. Season with salt and add the garlic. Mix everything thoroughly and spread the sauce on the pita bread.
- Thinly slice the cabbage and tomato. Place the cheese, sliced chicken, tomato, cabbage, and Korean carrots on the pita bread. Add a little more sauce on top and carefully roll up the pita bread.
- Heat a grill pan and fry the rolled pita bread on both sides.
