Two ways to clean a skillet from grease: shining like new
Every homemaker is looking for a method that will help her clean lids quickly and efficiently. SSPDaily has shared tips that will help you clean hard-to-reach places when the usual methods don't work.
Hydrogen peroxide
Apply hydrogen peroxide liberally to the lid, paying special attention to the area under the rim. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to penetrate the grease. Then brush the surface thoroughly and rinse with water. This method effectively removes stubborn grease that has accumulated over time.
Baking soda
Sprinkle baking soda over the entire surface and leave it on for 5-10 minutes. Then use a brush to scrub the lid in a circular motion and rinse thoroughly to remove any residue. By the way, baking soda also works well for cleaning silicone cookware.
Is it worth disassembling the lids
The above methods work well for cleaning lids, even in hard-to-reach places. However, if you decide to disassemble the cookware, be sure to read the manufacturer's instructions first (in many models, the rim and handle can be easily removed). Make sure that the appliance is not damaged and can be safely disassembled. If unscrewing is not possible or not recommended, use the proven cleaning methods for the entire lid.
