What to replace a baking dish with: 5 life hacks that will save your plans
Every housewife has baked a cake for the whole family at least once in her life. However, sometimes, at the most crucial moment, it may turn out that there is nothing to bake in. Don't be upset because SSPDaily has prepared some clever alternatives that will allow you to replace the mold and continue making delicious desserts.
Baking sheet
Typically, standard ovens are equipped with a classic 45x33 cm baking sheet with sides of about 3 cm. This is enough space to bake cakes that can be cut into pieces and spread with cream. You can therefore pour the batter directly onto the greased surface.
Frying pan
A plain metal frying pan can perfectly replace a round baking dish. However, beware of plastic handles as they can melt in the oven. Choose a pan that has removable handles.
Tin cans
Don't throw away tin cans. Experienced cooks use them when they don't have a baking dish at hand. Depending on the size, you can make muffins or small pies in a tin.
Saucepan
A pan can be used effectively to bake a cake in the oven, but two rules must be followed: do not use plastic elements and use a material that is suitable for high temperatures. It is better to choose stainless steel cookware that can withstand the heat of the oven. Don't forget to grease it with oil and sprinkle it with flour before pouring the batter.
Foil mold
Find a mold (pot or bowl) that suits your needs and line the bottom and sides with several layers of foil. Carefully remove the dish and reinforce it with additional layers to strengthen the structure. Voila! Your homemade baking tray is ready to use.
