You bought a new iPhone: here's how to quickly switch from Android to iOS
So you've resisted the temptation to buy a new iPhone 15 and are now wondering how to switch from Android to Apple. Let's just say that it is possible, but somewhat tedious. And the problems here are not so much in the device as in the other operating system.
Internewcast Journal has investigated this issue and collected the best tips on how to make the transition from Android to Apple smoother. Fortunately, Apple has created the Move to iOS program specifically for such a moment.
Where should you start?
Before you switch to an iPhone, you need to think about what you won't need anymore. For example, an Android phone case, charger, and desktop docking station. Other phone accessories (headphones, speakers) can be left behind, especially if they work via Bluetooth.
Then, it is recommended to back up all your phone data to avoid losing your contacts and photos.
To do this, go to the settings of your Android device. Next: "Accounts and synchronization" -- "Accounts". Here, check the "Auto-sync data" box and click Google.
After that, select your Gmail ID to sign in to your phone, and enable all the options so that all Google-related information (contacts, photos, app data) is synchronized with the cloud.
Finally, go to Settings - Backup & Reset - Back up my data.
How to use the Apple Move to iOS program
Let's just say that Apple is not averse to new customers, especially those who switch from Android. For this purpose, the manufacturer has created a program - Move to iOS, which facilitates the process of switching from Android to iOS.
With this application, you can transfer all your important data, including contacts, photos, videos, Google accounts, and even WhatsApp. Just download and install it on your old Android and follow the instructions to clone the desired content to your new iOS device.
Setting up your new iPhone
Now that your data is safely transferred (and stored in the cloud), you can get rid of your old phone and start setting up your iPhone.
In Settings, you can choose a wallpaper (static or live), change the ringtone, and set up Siri.
In the Apple App Store, you can find and download all the necessary programs.
You can rearrange the apps on the Home screen at your discretion by simply pressing and holding them until they start to wiggle, indicating that they are ready to be moved.
Your new device should also prompt you to set up an iCloud account in Settings to ensure that your phone and system data is automatically backed up.
