Apple expert: Increase iPhone battery life with this 10-second 'charging' life hack
It is undesirable to fully charge your phone up to 100%, as it has a detrimental effect on the battery. Simply put, if you regularly charge your battery to the limit, it will fail much earlier than the prescribed time.
The Sun writes: "The rules for operating a phone battery state that to maintain its 'health,' the charge level should be between 20% and 90%. This leaves the problem of how to keep track of how much you're using to keep it within these limits."
Fortunately, according to the publication, a TikTok blogger and Apple product expert shared a simple trick to increase iPhone battery life in just 10 seconds.
"You can effectively solve the issue," the expert said, "by using the Shortcuts application, which allows you to set a useful reminder that will prevent the phone from 'overcharging.'"
How does it look in practice?
- Go to the Shortcuts App, navigate to the Automation section, and click the 'Create Personal Automation' button.
- Then go to the battery level, make sure the slider is raised to about 85-90%, and click the "Next" button.
- Click 'Add Action,' select 'Speak Text,' and type the warning phrase you want.
To demonstrate the point, the Apple expert typed the command "Enough juice!", which his phone will now announce when the battery reaches 85%.
He explained that it is possible to choose a different type of voice, play it out loud, and check if you like it before setting it.
The blogger then showed viewers how to do the same when the battery is down to 20% by following similar steps.
