With the onset of cold weather, paying heating bills becomes a difficult or even unbearable task for many family budgets. And, of course, everyone is looking for effective ways to keep the house warm without paying a lot of money for it.
According to The Sun, there is such a way. As an example, the publication cites the Bob Vila advice website. It says the experts working on it pride themselves on giving 'true and reliable home care advice'.
For example, they recently shared one of their proven methods for heating a home economically. "And for this, oddly enough," they say, "you will need a fan." SSPDaily learned more about it.
How to heat a house with a fan
Bob Vila experts explained, "When the winter winds blow, some homeowners dread the thought of the accompanying, exorbitant heating bills. And while a fan may not be at the top of the list of ways to heat your home economically, it actually does a great job of doing so. If, of course, you listen to us and take a few simple steps."
According to experts, the essence of the problem is that warm air, according to the laws of physics, rises. And this does not have the best effect on heating bills.
"Although it may seem that turning on a ceiling fan will make the room colder, it will actually be the opposite if you set the blades to rotate clockwise."
The experts explained, "To change the direction of rotation of your ceiling fan, check for a switch at the base of the fan. This change in direction will create a small upward flow that will drive warm air towards the walls and back into the room."
In this case, all you have to do is lower the thermostat temperature and let the fan blow in the warm air that is already in the house.
