Joel Embiid Extends Contract with Philadelphia 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has signed a three-year extension worth nearly $193 million, according to reports. Embiid, the MVP of the 2022-23 season, has been with the Sixers since the 2014 NBA Draft and aims to help the team win its first championship since 1983. This is prepared by SSP.

76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey praised Embiid, saying, "Joel has cemented himself as one of the greatest Sixers of all time and is on his way to being one of the best players to ever play the game."

Embiid moved to the U.S. at 16 and went to the University of Kansas. Last season, he averaged 34.7 points, 11 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. Earlier this year, Embiid was diagnosed with the facial condition Bell's palsy.
