A cave of mystical cyclop discovered during excavations in Italy
Italian, French, and British scientists have discovered hundreds of pile foundations driven vertically into the ground in the Pertosa Cave: first of all, this is an indication of pile dwellings, which, according to researchers, are the remains of a Bronze Age village. But what makes this discovery incredible is the indication of the cyclops' habitat. SSPDaily tells about it.

An international research team has discovered a cave that can be considered the place of residence of the cyclops Polyphemus.
"The dormitories date back to the Bronze Age, a period reminiscent of the routes along the Mediterranean, sailors, and places visited by Odysseus during his journey across the Mediterranean," Raffaella Bonaudo, head of the Monument Protection Department in Salerno, said.
According to the legend, the giant cyclops Polyphemus, son of Poseidon and the nymph Phoebe, lived in this cave. Solitary and fierce, Polyphemus did not resemble a human being. His appearance and height rather resembled a wooded mountain top.
Earlier, it became known that archaeologists unearthed the grave of a 400-year-old child "vampire" in Poland.
