Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams' Husband, Undergoes Preventive Surgery to Remove Half of His Thyroid
Alexis Ohanian recently shared that he has undergone preventive surgery to remove half of his thyroid, marking a critical health decision ahead of Thanksgiving. The 41-year-old Reddit cofounder, married to tennis legend Serena Williams, turned to Instagram to discuss his four-year journey of monitoring suspicious nodules on his thyroid, which a recent biopsy indicated were likely to develop into cancer. Ohanian’s vigilance is driven partly by the memory of losing his mother to breast and brain cancer, saying, "I hate cancer." This is prepared by SSP.
Following the successful surgery, Ohanian displayed his gratitude for health and family in a heartfelt post, sharing a picture from his hospital bed and sweet photos of his daughters, Olympia and Adira. Highlighting his recovery whimsically, he noted, "The worst part tbh has been not being able to lift for 2 weeks but big fella will be back at it next week." His enthusiasm was evident as he detailed a family trip to Disney World, saying, "Life is wonderful."
This grateful narrative also included a message, urging fellow men, particularly fathers, to remain proactive about their health. "To my fellow men, make those doctor’s appointments," he advised. Also, Ohanian and Williams recently celebrated their seventh anniversary, sharing love-filled tributes on social media. Williams appreciated Ohanian’s playful nature, while he, in return, expressed his gratitude for their family.
Earlier, SSP reported that Courteney Cox expressed desire to create a scent inspired by partner Johnny McDaid.
