In a recent update, well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revised his previous forecast for the release of the long-awaited AirTag 2 from Apple. SSPDaily told about it in more detail.
Initially, Kuo predicted that mass production of the second generation AirTag would begin in the fourth quarter of 2024. However, the latest information suggests that this deadline has been postponed to 2025, although the specific reasons for the delay remain undisclosed.
Details about the upcoming AirTag 2 model are still very scarce but Kuo's insights give an idea of what Apple enthusiasts can expect.
In particular, the second generation AirTag is expected to showcase a higher level of integration with Apple's Vision Pro, an integral component of the company's upwardly mobile spatial computing ecosystem.
In addition, AirTag 2 will feature the U2 chip, a significant advancement over its predecessor, the original AirTag, which debuted in 2021.
