Candiace Dillard Bassett Relishes Time Away from RHOP for Pregnancy Focus

Candiace Dillard Bassett expresses happiness in stepping away from "The Real Housewives of Potomac". The 37-year-old reality star left the Bravo series post-season 8 to embrace her pregnancy more fully. Both she and her husband, Chris Bassett, welcomed their first child, son Jett Maxwell Lee Bassett, last month.

Candiace stated she feels "so happy" about her choice to take a break from the onscreen drama. She claims this decision led to a more tranquil and enjoyable pregnancy experience. "I'm just so content and satisfied with how soft my pregnancy was. It was leisurely, kind, and beautiful," she shared.

Her experience included indulging in activities she loved, such as working out and eating her favorite foods. "Demanding whatever food from my husband had him running to the store at midnight," she recalls with joy. The comforting and nurturing time underscored how special this pregnancy was for her.

Reflecting on her journey, Candiace spoke of her surprise at warmly embracing the changes her body underwent. "I thought I was going to hate it," she says. She worried about potential sickness and other changes but instead found joy in the experience.

Considering the alternative of filming RHOP during her pregnancy, she stated, "I don't know that I could have made it." The support from her husband and calm environment played significant roles in her well-being. "I wouldn’t have enjoyed the second trimester," she added. Candiace emphasizes that she would have lost out on one of the most beautiful experiences of her life.

She holds no regrets about leaving the Bravo franchise. "None whatsoever," she stated confidently. Although Candiace isn't currently watching the show due to ongoing events, she is glad that it resonates with viewers.

Reflecting on her past contributions, she feels proud of being part of *Potomac's* legacy. "No one can ever take that away from me," she notes. Meanwhile, shortly after announcing her pregnancy, she disclosed that her baby was the main reason for her exit from RHOP.

"I wanted to create a peaceful space for us," she explained. Candiace required an environment that excluded external pressures, making her exit a deliberate decision.

The new mother recently shared the October 3 arrival of her son and posted adorable family photos. Describing him as "just the cutest little thing," Candiace overflowed with happiness. "Chris and I couldn't be happier. He’s brought such joy to our lives. It's pure love!" she expressed.

She continues to envision the adventures that lie ahead with Jett, fully embracing her beautiful new chapter in life.
