Liam Payne's Girlfriend Kate Cassidy Honors Him with Angel Wings Tattoos

Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne’s girlfriend, recently made a subtle tribute to her late partner.

On December 22, Cassidy, 25, posted a photo with their dog, Nala, on her Instagram Stories. In the snapshot, Cassidy shows off angel wings tattoos on her index and middle fingers. She enhanced the image simply with a red heart emoji, while Nala gazes at the camera.

Around a month before Payne’s tragic passing, he and Cassidy adopted Nala. The One Direction star died at age 31 after a tragic fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16. Cassidy shared a video on September 16, introducing Nala, their new pet, stating, "We have a little special guest with us today."

Cassidy expressed her nerves about approaching Payne for a pet. She found a nearby shelter in Miami, saying, "Liam was totally on board." After meeting three dogs, they chose Nala: "This dog... we figured was the best fit for us. She's so sweet... We wanted to give her a second chance at a better life," Cassidy noted.

Following Payne's death, Cassidy returned to social media with a heartfelt tribute. On December 8, she posted a TikTok compilation showcasing their memories together. "I love you," she captioned the touching video, which began with them blowing kisses at the camera. Other clips depicted happy moments, including dancing together and playful outings.

The montage included sentimental scenes of Payne, who traveled with Cassidy shortly before his passing. She featured playful clips of him dragging her on the kitchen floor and them bowling together.

Lasting a minute and a half, the video is set to "Fade Into You," a track by Mazzy Star from 1993.

Cassidy, who first got linked to Payne in October 2022, attended his funeral on November 20 in Amersham, England. She was there with Payne's former One Direction bandmates, including Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. Cheryl Cole, his ex and mother of his son, Bear, 7, along with James Corden and Simon Cowell, were also in attendance.
