PlayStation 5 Pro: device characteristics
Recently, a well-known insider Tom Henderson stirred up the gaming community with interesting news. It turns out that third-party developers have gained access to PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro) development kits, which caused a flurry of discussions about this long-awaited console. SSPDaily told about it in more detail.
Processor
According to the leaks on ResetEra, although these details have not yet been officially confirmed by Henderson or Sony, they seem quite plausible. According to rumors, the PS5 Pro will be equipped with an 8-core Viola processor based on the powerful AMD Zen 2 architecture clocked at 4.4 GHz.
The real revolutionary feature, however, seems to be the addition of the RDNA3 graphics platform, which contains a staggering 56 processor units to improve ray tracing capabilities.
Performance
However, what really sets the PS5 Pro apart is its stunning performance. The console is expected to deliver 28.67 teraflops, which is a significant jump from the current PS5's already 10.28 teraflops. To sweeten the deal, Sony is rumored to install an impressive 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM with a bandwidth of 576 GB/s.
In addition, AMD XDNA 2 is said to be included, which emphasizes the capabilities of artificial intelligence, promising an even more immersive gaming experience.
Presentation
If the rumors are true, gamers can expect a grand presentation of the PS5 Pro in all its glory in September 2024, and the console will be available on the market in November of the same year.
