Qualcomm Plans to Buy Intel: Will This Help Beat Nvidia?

On Friday, The Wall Street Journal reported that Qualcomm has approached Intel about a potential takeover, signaling a monumental shift in the semiconductor industry. Despite being "far from certain," such a deal would highlight Intel's decline from its erstwhile position as the world's most valuable chip company. Intel's recent struggles are exemplified by a reported $1.6 billion loss, massive operational cuts, and workforce downsizing.
