Rachel Boston Decorates Early for Christmas, Inspired by Her Daughter

Rachel Boston, a familiar face in Hallmark holiday movies, decided to embrace the Christmas spirit early this year. The 42-year-old actress set up her Christmas tree in October, bringing joy to her 2-year-old daughter, Grace. This decision was made to satisfy Grace's fondness for the holiday season, PEOPLE reported.

Grace, who Boston shares with professional chef Tolya Ashe, often visits her mother on set. Amid the festive environment of filming "Debbie Macomber's Joyful Mrs. Miracle," Grace attended Hallmark’s October Jingle Stop Tour to kick off the Christmas season. The holiday cheer surrounding her led to Grace's eagerness to decorate early.

Boston reflects on her daughter's perspective: "I think she thinks Christmas is year-round," she shared with PEOPLE. After their trip to Washington D.C. for festive activities, Grace requested their Christmas tree go up immediately. The family complied, recognizing this early decorating as what is "normal" for Grace.

With the tree now decorated, Boston finds joy in involving her daughter in the experience. She noted, "I'm letting her decorate the tree this year, which has been so special." Grace selects ornaments during outings, indicating her growing interest in the project.

Beyond their tree-decorating activities, Boston has additional festive projects in mind. She aims to create Christmas ornaments with Grace, though they are currently focused on making hand turkeys for Thanksgiving. "My real goal was to make a lot of Christmas ornaments, which we’re still working on," she explained, emphasizing their fun craft time.

Given the actress's roles in numerous Hallmark films, it's clear Grace has inherited a special enthusiasm for the holidays. Rachel Boston welcomes this early tradition, envisioning perhaps a year-round Christmas. "We’re going to do year-round Christmas and she’ll just think that’s how people do it," she remarks with a laugh.
