Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, director Christopher McQuarrie and the cast of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One celebrated the world premiere of the film in Rome.
The red carpet was laid out on the famous Spanish Steps. The Hollywood Reporter writes that photoshoots with the stars took place there. Tom Cruise thanked the Italian capital for the opportunity to hold the premiere in this beautiful city.
Before starting his marathon on the red carpet, during which he seemed intent on greeting every single guest, Cruise reminded the crowd of "how important it is to show not only that you can still make movies but also that you can return to packed theaters after this most difficult time the world and this art form has ever experienced." The actor was referring to the pandemic during which the movie was filmed.
"It was very important to show everyone that the pandemic will not kill cinema," he said. "I have to thank everyone, thanks to our very strict security protocols and the help of this country, we did something extraordinary together," Cruise said.
The Hollywood star gave his still childlike charming smile and gladly took pictures with the actresses who played with him in the movie. There were 41-year-old American Hayley Atwell, 39-year-old Swede Rebecca Ferguson, 35-year-old British film star Vanessa Kirby, 37-year-old Frenchman Pom Klementieff, and 49-year-old British woman of Indian and Swiss descent Indira Varma.
