Singer and producer Potap shared with his subscribers a personal song that was written a long time ago and is dedicated to the closest person to the artist – his mother. SSPDaily tells about it.
Previously, Potap performed the track "Mom" only for friends and family in a closed circle with a guitar. According to him, he did not dare to share something so personal with the public.
"For years now, my family has been asking me to record this track. Especially those whose mothers are no longer around... I made up my mind and finally, this song has seen the light of day," the artist said.
The music video for "Mom" was created by Welligan Production, a company that operates in the markets of Ukraine, the USA, the UAE, and Kazakhstan. They have collaborated with famous stars and companies, such as HBO, the channel that gave us the legendary TV series Chernobyl, Game of Thrones, and many others. Their works have won first place at the international competitions Imagine Cup, Golden Byte, and Awwwards.
According to Potap, the song is dedicated to all mothers in Ukraine, because a Ukrainian mother is a teacher and protector, a best friend and a guide to dreams, a person who lost sleep at night and gave all of herself to raise her child with dignity.
Potap has a very close relationship with his mother, and they are on the phone all the time. His mother Liudmyla, a swimming coach, world champion, and top-category athlete, taught both the singer and his wife Nastia Kamenskykh to swim.
"My mom is known all over the world. Many times in other countries and even on other continents, people have come up to me and said: "You know, it was your mother who taught me to swim!" She is very respected and loved. And for me, as a son, this is the highest happiness!" – said Potap.
Potap is a Ukrainian singer and producer, IT businessman. He is currently actively involved in large-scale IT projects in San Francisco, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Potap is constantly involved in charitable initiatives: he raised money for prosthetics for Ukrainian soldiers, rebuilt a house for a pensioner whose grandson serves in the Armed Forces, and at the beginning of the invasion created the Helpua.io online platform, which he joined with famous people.
