Ukrainian woman Aliya Nasirova entered the Guinness Book of Records for the longest hair among living women. Its length is 257.33 cm.
This was reported by SSPDaily.
Aliya's hair is more than 92 cm longer than her height of 165 cm, and her strands are even longer than the tallest man in the world, Sultan Kösen, who is 251 cm tall.
Aliya has never cut her hair and hopes that her record will "inspire people to enjoy human beauty and be natural."
"I hope my story will inspire readers to love their natural beauty. I am an artist and I believe that every person is beautiful, even if they look 'different'," she said.
The 35-year-old woman, who now lives in Slovakia, earns her living as a painter and graphic illustrator, as well as a model with long hair.
She only trims her hair lightly to keep it strong and healthy. Nasirova was inspired by her mother and grandmother, who also had very long hair, as well as by fairy tale characters such as Rapunzel, to whom she is often compared.
She also shared her hair care secrets. For example, Aliya washes her hair once a week and it takes her about 30 minutes to clean it up, although it takes an extra two hours if she wants to apply a hair mask.Since she doesn't like to use heat on her hair, Aliya lets it dry naturally, which can take up to 24 hours.
She said: "I only brush my hair after it's dry, and it takes about an hour the day after I wash it and about 30 minutes on other days. I follow a few simple rules to keep my hair healthy. I don't dye my hair, I use only natural products and very rarely use henna, I apply natural masks and oils to my hair, I mostly prepare my own masks, and I never comb my hair when it is wet and I don't use a hair dryer. In addition, I regularly trim split ends, eat healthy food and do not drink alcohol. I take vitamins, massage my scalp, and sometimes go to the sea or ocean to soak my hair in all the natural minerals."
Every day, Aliya puts her hair in a bun because it is so long that it touches the floor. But when she shoots content for her social channels, her hair hangs loose and lush, and people are often so stunned by her hairstyle that they ask if they can take a picture with it.
Aliya likes that the look of her hair often inspires others to grow their own.
