Shocked woman accidentally finds her wallet, which she had lost in the sea - video
A woman walking her dogs on a beach in British Columbia discovered a surprising find among the debris thrown up by the tide - her long-lost wallet.
SSPDaily tells about it.
Marcy Callavert said that she and her dogs were on the beach of the remote island where she and her husband live near Tofino when she noticed something familiar in the sand.
"I knew it right away," she said. "It stopped me right there."
Callavert, who shared her discovery on TikTok, recalled dropping her wallet into the water while boarding a boat in June 2023.
"Where we live, we don't have a dock, and we have to canoe to where the boat is," she told Westerly News. "I had my wallet in an unzipped pocket of my backpack, and I forgot to zip it. When I walked to the boat with the canoe, I heard a splash, but I assumed it was because of the way the water was splashing, and I didn't think anything of it."
@marciecjohn I can NOT believe what washed up on shore. My goof Karma for cleaning up the rope and plastic? #offgrid #salvage #protectwhatyoulove #marinedebris #vancouverisland #tofino ♬ original sound - Marcie C John
Marcie shared that shortly after it was lost, she had to look for a diver, but the search was unsuccessful.
She said that her wallet, cash, cards and ID were still in surprisingly good condition after floating in the sea.
"The only damage is that the zipper is rusted," she commented.
