The most terrible phrases during a breakup and 10 top tips on how not to lose interest in life afterwards
Nothing lasts forever, and sooner or later, people's relationships come to a logical conclusion. And, unfortunately, almost every such case has painful consequences for the psyche.
The Daily Star writes: "At the same time, a survey of 2,000 adults in Britain found that nearly eight in ten people (77%) believe it is important to view divorce as a fresh start rather than dwell on the past. And two-thirds believe that it can lead to something better in the end."
The main ways that the British people help to cope with a breakup are spending more time with family and friends and getting rid of their ex's belongings.
In addition, planning a vacation (24%) and not having contact with the ex (71%) are also effective ways to get over the heartache. At the same time, 72% see this as an opportunity to try something new and reinvent themselves, and every third finds time to focus on their own problems rather than thinking about how their partner feels. Another 44% believe that it is a waste of time to dwell on the end of an affair.
It also turned out that the most feared phrases during a divorce are: "I found someone else," "I never loved you," and "I've been unhappy for a long time."
The classic goodbye phrases are also in trend: "It's not about you, it's about me" and "We can stay friends." The British are also afraid to hear them in the event of a final breakup.
One of the organizers of the survey, Sandra Ferreira, said: "Divorce can be hard, but after the first feelings of loss, the transition to something bigger and better often begins."
