The pregnant woman is shocked by her husband's 22-year affair with her mother: "He's the father of my twin brothers"
A woman who was seven months pregnant recounted the horrifying moment she discovered her husband's affair with her mother. She revealed that the affair had been ongoing for 22 years, spanning their entire marriage, and that some of her siblings were actually her husband's biological children. In a poignant and candid Reddit post, she shared the devastation she endured and how her mother accused her of "ruining her life" by exposing the affair.
Describing the situation, she said: "My 63-year-old father and 60-year-old mother have been married for 43 years. I have six brothers and sisters. I have been with my husband, who is 39, since I was 15. I got pregnant at 17, and we moved to my parents' house. I gave birth to my daughter, and soon after, we got married when I was 18. My grandfather died shortly after our wedding and left his ranch-style home to my father. My grandparents built a house next door to my parents when they retired. My parents decided to let us live in this house and said it would be my inheritance. My husband and I had no problem with that. We had children who are now 20, 14, and five years old, and now I am seven months pregnant with my last child, a boy."
After detailing her close-knit family and seemingly happy family life, she went on to recount the affair between her husband and mother. "I thought I had a good marriage; we had intimacy more than twice a week, went on dates, bought each other gifts, and didn't fight. My whole world came crashing down on New Year's Eve when I came back early from a girls' trip I had taken with my friends. I walked into my bedroom and saw my mom having sex with my husband. My mom yelled at me to get out of 'their' bedroom, which shocked me even more."
During a conversation with her husband, she learned that his sexual relationship with her mother was not a one-time affair but had been ongoing for many years, even longer than her marriage. "I asked him to tell me the truth. He told me that my mother seduced him when we were 18 years old and living in their house. They had unprotected sex at least once a month," she added. "I did the math and was terrified because the timing meant that my twin brothers and youngest brother could be my husband's children."
After informing her father about his wife's infidelity, she continued: "I made my husband confess, and my father was devastated. He and my mother were also in love in high school. Needless to say, we heard my mom screaming."
Detailing the family conflict, she also shared how she hosted a gathering at her sister's house and used the opportunity to discuss her husband's relationship with her mother. "At the party, I asked my 22-year-old daughter to take all the children to our basement and turn on a movie, leaving only my adult children and siblings, and I told them exactly what was happening," she said. "Most of the family is on my side, except for my three youngest siblings, my 38-year-old sister, and my ex's entire family. They all say I'm crazy for going public with this."
Following the public disclosure, her mother was dismissed from her position as a children's pastor due to infidelity. She explained: "Since then, my mom has been fired from her job, and she claims that I ruined her reputation and life. My father kicked her out, and now she is living with my sister, and finally, my father has insisted on DNA testing for the three younger boys before considering anything related to their marriage. The twins are my husband's biological children. Since then, I have kicked him out, and he lives with his parents."
The woman went on to describe the consequences and their impact on her family, including plans for divorce and a breakdown in her relationship with her mother. She explained: "It's been over a month now, but I'm still very angry with my mother, especially at her hypocrisy when she calls me names and shames my family, even though she has done much worse. I also despise my ex with all my being because he had sex with my mother and me, and in some cases came to our bed a few minutes afterward. My mom got pregnant by him less than a week after I got pregnant, and although I thought it was so cute and fun that I was sharing the pregnancy experience with my mom, she was carrying my children's half-siblings. It destroyed all my trust in men and their fidelity."
