She began to move in the body bag: Woman 'resurrected' in morgue (video)
A woman left in a body bag in a hospital morgue in Guatemala City scared workers when she suddenly started moving.
SSPDaily tells about it.
The morgue workers were terrified when the woman seemed to "rise from the dead" when she began to move around inside the bag.
The unnamed patient showed signs of severe malnutrition, seizures, and cerebral palsy. When she was connected to monitors, she showed no signs of respiratory or brain activity. She was pronounced dead.
A hospital spokesperson said: "After 30 minutes of medical efforts, she was pronounced dead and her body was transferred to the morgue as per established protocol."
However, after five hours in a body bag at the San Juan de Dios General Hospital in Guatemala City, she suddenly began to move.
Shocked, the morgue staff rushed to alert doctors, and she was readmitted to the emergency room. However, despite the best efforts of the doctors, the patient showed no signs of life, and she was pronounced dead for the second and final time.
The hospital supported her family in the "difficult time they are facing". It is not yet clear whether the police are investigating the incident.
