The tallest man in the world met the shortest woman: they took funny photos
The tallest man and the shortest woman on the planet met and showcased an astonishing height difference.
SSPDaily tells about it.
41-year-old Sultan Kosen and 30-year-old Jyoti Amge posed together in a series of humorous photos in California. Kosen, who hails from Turkey and stands at 251 cm tall, is one of only 10 confirmed cases in history of individuals exceeding 244 cm in height. Amge is 62.8 cm tall.
Both of them were awarded their titles in the 2011 Guinness Book of World Records.
Amge's short stature is attributed to achondroplasia, a type of dwarfism. Kosen's extraordinary height, which didn't become apparent until he was 10 years old, is a result of a tumor that led to a condition known as pituitary gigantism.
The duo first met in 2018 during a photo shoot at the pyramids of Giza. Now, five years later, they have reunited to exhibit the world's largest height difference. In one photo, Amge is seen sitting on Kosen's lap, reaching only his collarbone.
In another amusing photo, Kosen holds his shoe next to Amge's, demonstrating that she is nearly as tall as he is.
In an interview with the Guinness Book of World Records, Kosen mentioned that finding clothes and shoes that fit him properly is no easy task. He once held the record for the world's largest feet. Kosen also recounted that his size posed challenges for him to complete high school, and although he joined a basketball team, he was too tall to play.
After his world record brought him fame, he underwent free life-saving surgery that stopped his growth.
Meanwhile, Amge also has to be innovative with her clothing. Her outfits, jewelry, and even her plates are custom-made.
Despite her height, she has attended a regular school all her life, using only a smaller desk and chair. Amge is also recognized as the world's shortest actress, having appeared on an Indian reality show and in American Horror Story.
