Wedding failure: bride faints after saying "yes" (photo)
A bride's dream wedding turned into a nightmare after she collapsed at the altar just seconds after saying "I do".
SSPDaily tells about it.
Katherine and Alex Franks got married on July 7, 2023. The 28-year-old woman explained the curiosity by heat exhaustion and dehydration, as it was 37 degrees that day. After exchanging vows, she began to feel dizzy. When the couple was pronounced husband and wife, the bride fell to the floor and her worried lover rushed to her side.
Photographers captured the moment when Katherine hit the ground three times. The guests and the groom tried to keep her upright.
Then the footage shows her lying on the church floor while everyone desperately waves at her.
She recalled: "We get to the ceremony and at the altar, with everyone watching, I start to feel a little dizzy. I think we had just said "I do" and were waiting for the last prayer, so we were technically married. We stood there for about 40 minutes. My husband knew something was wrong and kept looking at me, and I said: "I think I'm going to faint". The next thing I knew, I woke up and saw boots around me, my father and husband were wearing cowboy boots."
Katherine, who met her husband on a dating app, said she was able to pull herself together after the incident when her husband helped her calm down: "I was trying to pull myself together and gather my strength because all these people were here watching me. I thought: "I just need to get up and finish." It was so hot on the altar with all the lights. My husband was very worried about me. I heard people saying: "Is she okay? Bring her some water". I'm a pretty clumsy person, so I'm used to things like this happening to me."
The next day, she went to the emergency room for dehydration.
Katherine added that this moment became a "family joke" among her family and friends. In a month, she will give birth to her first child. She will tell her daughter the funny story in the coming years.
