Woman shocked with the real reason for free ice cream parties on cruise ships
A former singer on cruise ships has revealed the real reason why passengers are sometimes given free ice cream. SSPDaily tells about it.
American singer Dara Starr Tucker performed on cruise ships ten years ago. The woman regularly talks about this stage in her life on TikTok.
Yes, she worked aboard huge ships that sailed the Caribbean and Mediterranean. But life aboard a cruise ship is not all sunshine and rainbows. In one of her latest videos, she revealed the tragic reason why cruise ships throw "free ice cream parties."
As it turns out, if the amount of ice cream available suddenly increases, it means they need more space in the freezer for the body.

"Unfortunately, this is often the case. If the crew suddenly provides passengers with a bunch of ice cream, a free ice cream party, it's often because more people have died on the ship than they have room for in the morgue. That's true. Luckily, we didn't have to deal with that kind of thing, but we were friends with some of the crew members who did. And they said that four to ten people die on every cruise. There are a lot of elderly people on the ships, and often people die on cruises. So, on a ship like ours, four to ten people die, and on a typical cruise, we carry 2,500 to 3,000 passengers. According to them, the morgue held about seven people, and if more than seven people died on this particular ship, they would have to start moving the bodies to the freezer, which meant they needed to free up space in the freezer. So they had to take out a lot of ice cream and other frozen foods to make room for other bodies."
One person commented on the video, saying: "There's a cruise ship medic here. I can confirm the connection between the morgue and the ice cream."
