The Woman in the Wall (19.01)
One day, Lorna Wilson (Ruth Wilson, The Affair) finds the body of a dead woman in her house. What happened? Did she kill her in a state of sleepwalking? Is the crime connected to Lorna's traumatic teenage memories? Is it the child she abandoned many years ago?
Masters of the Air (26.01)
The producers of the epic story about "the brave men of the 8th Air Force and their contribution to the victory over the Nazis" are Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. And this already says a lot. In addition, the first three episodes of the series were directed by Cary Fukunaga, who worked on the last Bond movie.
The series features a powerful cast: Oscar nominees Austin Butler and Barry Keoghan, Callum Turner, Rafferty Law and Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education).
Griselda (January 25)
The new Netflix series tells the story of the "godmother of cocaine" Griselda Blanco, starting with her escape from Medellín to Miami, with three children and a kilogram of cocaine, and ending with her "position" as the boss of a powerful drug empire. The film stars the famous Colombian actress Sofia Vergara in the title role.
Expats (26.01)
Expats (dir. Lulu Wang) is one of the most high-profile premieres of 2024. The plot centers on the story of six American women who emigrated to Hong Kong and are trying to adapt to a culture and lifestyle that is alien to them.
The series is based on the novel The Expatriates by Janice Y.K. Lee. The idea of the film adaptation belongs to Nicole Kidman. She also starred in the title role and is the producer of the project.
Feud: Capote. vs. The Swans (31.01)
The second season of Feud (dir. Ryan Murphy) tells the story of writer Truman Capote and his relationship with a community of socialites he called his "swans."
The events of the mini-series begin in the 1970s and end with Capote's death in 1984. The plot centers on the scandal surrounding the publication of an excerpt from his novel Answered Prayers in Esquire magazine in 1975. All of his characters turned out to be well-known friends of Capote, who exposed their secrets, extramarital affairs, and even murders to the public. The publication caused a huge scandal and led to a boycott of the writer in high society.
The series stars: Naomi Watts, Chloe Sevigny and Demi Moore.
