Ancient treasure unearthed in Poland: what do scientists find
In the Polish city of Slubice, researchers have discovered a Bronze Age treasure. This discovery sheds light on ancient practices in the region.
SSPDaily tells about it.
The treasure trove of bronze artifacts consists of three sickles, two axes, four bracelets, six rings, a fragment of a pin, and a piece of a rod. In addition, the remains of foundry waste were found at the site, giving an idea of the historical bronze foundry activity in the area.
Scientists say that bronze was of great value in that era, prompting artisans to hide these valuable items during conflicts or to prevent theft. Another important possibility is the ritual aspect, as Bronze Age communities often left objects as votive offerings, which adds another layer of cultural significance to the finds.
